North Yarmouth Academy Ice Arena opened in 1975.

In 1998, after extensive remodeling, it was dedicated on October 17, 1998, as the Travis Roy Arena.

The arena contains four public locker rooms, a pro shop, a weight room, and a warm viewing area. Skate sharpening and concessions are available. The arena uses an electric Zamboni and an electric edger to groom the ice surface, maintaining healthy air quality.

Travis Roy Arena is the home for all North Yarmouth Academy middle and upper school hockey programs, as well as the home of Stride Envy skating.

Other skating programs that use the facility include Yarmouth High and Middle School hockey programs, Casco Bay Youth Hockey, Mid-Coast Youth Hockey, and the Southern Maine Middle School Hockey League.

Additionally, Yarmouth and Freeport Recreation Departments base their Learn-to-Skate Programs here. Men's recreational hockey rounds out the schedule.

The skating season runs from July through March each year. During each season, an estimated 85,000 people visit the Travis Roy Arena as either participants or spectators.

In the off season, North Yarmouth Academy uses the arena as an indoor practice facility for lacrosse and baseball; it is also the site for the academy's annual spring auction.

Travis Roy Arena excels at providing top-notch service, sport and satisfaction to all who come through its doors.
