History:

In 1812, James and Rebecca Tinker traveled in an ox cart from Connecticut to Henrietta with their six children and all of their belongings. When they first arrived, the area was called the Town of Boyle. The Tinkers purchased forty acres of land with two previously built log cabins. The Tinker Family occupied the homestead for six generations and experienced the formation of the Town of Henrietta (1818) and Monroe County (1821).
