The Highlight Gallery is situated on Main Street in Mendocino California, facing beautiful Mendocino Bay. Looking west, we see out to sea and the evening sunsets. The view is spectacular with crashing waves, billowing clouds, migrating whales and beautiful sunsets. Sometimes the view stops us in our tracks as we go about our day.
Step inside the gallery and you will find more wonderful things to look at. This historic three story building is filled with the finest handcrafted wood furniture, paintings, bronze, wood and wire sculpture, ocean sand-paintings, fine craft and quality handcrafted wood art of every kind – and much of it made locally/regionally – all of it made in the USA.
The Gallery began as the Guild Store in 1978 with the intention to show the work of the Mendocino Woodworkers and Weavers. Since then, the gallery has grown and evolved into one of the largest and oldest fine art, craft and handmade wood furniture galleries in the Pacific North West.
Exhibitions are ongoing and change often. We host artist receptions on the ’2nd’ Saturday of each month. The signature show of the year is the College of the Redwoods Fine Woodworking show in May.
