The Florida Carriage Museum was created to educate, celebrate and preserve the history of the horse and its role in shaping world civilizations and changing lives. The Museum houses one of the largest, privately owned collections of carriages in the world. It is open to the public every day. There are more than 160 meticulously restored carriages including the 1840's Dress Chariot formerly owned by Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph.

The Grand Oaks Resort is a premier vacation destination with over 400 acres of rolling hills blanketed with sweeping canopies of ancient Granddaddy Oaks.  Whether you envision an adventurous get-a-way immersed in "city-slicker" activities, fly-fishing in our fully stocked waters, or a relaxing retreat, your visit at the Grand Oaks Resort can be anything your heart desires. We uniquely offer our guests the grace and elegance of traditional southern hospitality with a resort staff fully prepared to accommodate your every need.  Celebrate life while exploring spectacular settings on horseback, enjoy romantic experiences upon one of our many world renowned antique horse drawn carriages, and revel in the comfort of one of our 26 private country chateaus. The Grand Oaks Resort is the ideal venue for intimate gatherings and also capable of accommodating large scale events.
