About Us:
Established in 2002 by artist Holly Fisher, Smartshop is a Metalworking School and Gallery in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Smartshop is a comprehensive arts facility whose purpose is to foster the creativity of its clients and inspire the community through gallery presentations from a diverse range of artists and media.

Smartshop offers an affordable option to artists who can not justify setting up a studio of their own. Shop Techs are present to insure safety and offer assistance during open studio hours.

Students are eligible to be associates after completing the Smartshop Standards Test and are found to be safe and considerate in the studio. Internships are offered for emerging artists on a space/labor trade. Numerous benefits and discounts are afforded to Smartshop associates and interns.
