The New Gallery of Modern Art offers a range of artwork that educates, supports local endeavor, builds collections and importantly, introduces the Southeast to new aesthetics.
The gallery works to build collections of corporate and private clients ranging from new enthusiasts to serious connoisseurs. We offer one of the most significant privately-held collection of works by artists such as Picasso, Chagall, Miro, Matisse, Basquiat, and Warhol. To complement the stable of twentieth century Modern Masters, NGMA also showcases elite contemporary artists such as Damien Hirst, Anish Kapoor, Hunt Slonem, Donal Sultan and Robert Mars, as well as a few renowned local and regional artists such as Maja Godlewska, Shaun Cassidy, Hoss Haley, Joe Walters, Willie Little, etc.
NGMA aims to develop Charlotte’s taste for art and the collector’s spirit by offering art works of highest museum quality. The gallery offers advice on purchasing art objects, along with private displays and exhibits for collectors only. Among our well established services are in-home consultations, private exhibition previews and a corporate art loan program.
