Museum of Coastal Carolina

Mission :

The Mission of the Ocean Isle Museum Foundation, Inc. is to stimulate the general public's interest and understanding of the natural science, environment, and cultural history of the coastal region of the Carolinas as well as a broader understanding of our Earth, solar system, and our universe by providing quality educational opportunities for both the public and school students through activities and exhibits.

The Ocean Isle Museum Foundation, Inc. governs its two facilities, the Museum of Coastal Carolina on Ocean Isle Beach and Ingram Planetarium at Sunset Beach, as 501(c)3 non-profit organizations. The Museum and Planetarium’s operating expense is funded mainly through admission fees, private donations, and community contributions. Only a small percentage of its budget is provided by public funds.
