Mika Gallery was established in 2003 as a gallery based in America.
With the aim of introducing early Japanese Art from the prehistoric to the 19th century to a wide global audience, Mika Gallery is operating at its permanent location on the 8th floor of the Fuller Building, a well-known gallery building located at the heart of Manhattan.
Owner and director Mika Seki established Shouun Oriental Art in Japan in 1987 and its gallery is currently located in Ginza, Tokyo as a permanent space.
Based on years of experience and galleries based in Japan and New York, a selection of high art works are introduced to and acquired by museums and collectors in America, Europe, Oceania and Asia. Also, there is a strong emphasis on producing thematic exhibitions and publications based on early artworks with traditional cultural backgrounds.
