About Us:
Marina Kessler Gallery represents a selective group of emerging and mid-career artists. These artists are forceful in their personal premises claiming a qualified audience whose visual literacy make the art transcend. It is about contemporary art understood within contemporary culture. Painting, photography, video, and installations are some of the mediums we exhibit for this acid, complex and committed dialogue.

Viscerally committed to the intelligence of beauty, each of the gallery’s shows enriches and redefines our aesthetic concept of beauty, our aesthetic concept of intelligence, and the aesthetic relationship between the two.

Artists are of diverse national origin, have lived in many capitals of the world, and also in many secluded places. Miami is their home, some only through our gallery, some in a more literal way. Many of the gallery’s artists have already achieved important international recognition in the non-commercial art world, through biennials, museum shows, and publications.

The gallery is located in the Wynwod Art District of Miami, just 3 blocks south of the Rubell Familly Collection and 3 blocks east of the Margulies Collection at the Warehouse. Marina Kessler Gallery, established in May 2003, is situated in a recycled clothing factory known as 2628 - The Purple Warehouse-, which also houses artist studios, a film editing suite and a design studio. The space is a hot bed for contemporary art in Miami. The gallery space has two floors, a main exhibition room on the ground floor, another exhibition room on the second floor, a video project space, and an open back room set up as a 18th century European art saloon where visitors can experience the art more closely.

Marina Kessler Gallery participates in international art fairs, and collaborates with galleries in Europe, other cities in the US, and Latin America. The gallery has participated in art fairs in Miami, Mexico DF, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, New York and Toronto.
