Mission :
Primarily to collect and maintain a library of botanical, medical, pharmaceutical, scientific books and periodicals, and works of allied sciences that serve the scientific research community, as well as constituents of the general public, through library services and programming that bring science, art, and history to life.
The Library is committed to providing engaging public programming through lectures, exhibitions, instructional events (for students of all ages) and symposia, that highlights the breadth and depth of the collection in all new ways, engaging individuals and groups at their interest level, regardless of collection focus.
Our core mission is to help every patron connect with the collection in whatever way is meaningful to them, either through scientific investigation, arts exposure and interaction, or whatever else an individual can imagine.
