Founder of "Lizard Prints" in 1993 is artist, Kevin Clark. The name came from one of his first carved block, the Lizard-Gecko. A resident of Oregon, Kevin has been influenced by his many trips to South America, Asia and 49 of our United States.

His great appreciation of nature and the world around him can be seen in his work. He is continually experimenting with various shades and colors of ink which gives him the ability to individualize each piece in its series..
.
A block of pine, alder, myrtlewood or oak is hand carved to uniquely create each image. This carving process takes approximately two weeks to complete. The block is then hand pulled, beautifully embossing each work of art.

Kevin initially began his artistic adventure using a hand powered printing press built by Chandler & Price in 1887. This press was passed to Kevin from his Grandfather, John E. Carey. The press was purchased in 1922 and used by his Grandfather to support the family during the Great Depression. His Grandfather continued to encourage and influence Kevin's artistic endeavors until October 2001 when he died at the age of 98.

Kevin continues the legacy at his art in his studio/gallery in Roseburg, Oregon.
