About Us
The Johnson Victrola Museum is a tribute to Delaware's native son, Eldridge Reeves Johnson, who founded the Victor Talking Machine Company in 1901. Exhibits include phonographs, recordings, memorabilia, trademarks, objects, and paintings that highlight Mr. Johnson's successful business enterprises and chronicle the development of the sound-recording industry.
Tours of the museum are available throughout the day. However, tours for large groups require prior reservations. For more information on group tours, use the link below to go to our Museum Activities page.

The Johnson Victrola Museum History Store is full of memorabilia and fun souvenirs relating to the recorded sound industry, the Victor Talking Machine Company, Delaware, and more. We also offer packaged "grab bags" for school tours. The History Store accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and personal checks for your convenience. Purchases help fund our educational programs and exhibits.
