About Gallery 23:
Gallery 23 was founded in 2001 with the mission of promoting the work of local artists, as well as raising the awareness and appreciation of the various art forms represented at the gallery. Within just a few years, this unique showroom and gift shop has gained an impressive reputation and is now a destination point for visitors from all over the country and abroad. Included in the various types of artwork are oil and watercolor paintings, photography, ceramics, stained glass, decoupage, fiber art, wood-turning, jewelry, mixed-media, collage, diorama, and several other types of creative expression.
Gallery 23 is a cooperative venture consisting of about 30 jury-selected artists who participate in the operation of the gallery, from working as salespersons to managing the finances and gallery publicity. This arrangement provides an excellent showcase for member artists, while enabling customers to purchase artwork at prices that do not include a hefty gallery commission. Our artists and our customers benefit greatly from this arrangement.
Gallery 23 leadership consists of an Executive Committee including the following individuals: Sheila Grodsky, President; Larry Berger, Vice-President; Diane Pratt, Treasurer; Karen Garson, Secretary.
