Mission and Vision
The Arnot Art Museum strides into the 21st century with an expanded commitment to the goal of providing “an inexhaustible source of satisfaction and pleasure” dreamed of by its founder 100 years ago. But the Arnot Art Museum of the 21st century goes far beyond the dreams of Matthias Arnot with its worldwide reputation for the quality of its exhibitions and its collections; collaborative, interdisciplinary education programs that receive national recognition; an expanded physical plant that complements the 19th century Arnot home; the development of artist in residence programs that will provide opportunities for artists to create and for people of all ages to share in the gratification of creation; and the development of programs of aesthetic education in our region.
